Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jordan Palmer and I’ve been a practicing Dietitian Nutritionist for almost 10 years. I’ve hopped around the nutrition field starting in community, then moved to clinical, and now work in the specialty infusion pharmacy marketing world. I love how versatile our chosen profession can be. This is one of the reasons I love being a part of the Dallas Dietetic Alliance. It’s an organization that brings nutrition professionals from different backgrounds and experiences together to network, earn continuing education credits and most importantly connect.
I have been on the DDA Governing Board for 7 years and feel very privileged to be the newest President to follow in the footsteps of the amazing leaders that have come before me. 2020 was a challenging year for everyone and DDA was able to quickly adjust so membership engagement did not suffer. I hope to continue to grow our membership by consistent social media presence, enriching and interesting meeting topics and use of virtual platforms to provide easy access to our members.
I also hope to increase our community volunteerism by partnering with local organizations that already have a great foothold in the community and will benefit from nutrition expertise of our members.
As president I will focus my efforts on continuing our forward momentum and supporting DDA’s efforts in offering quality connection to all members.
